Happy 18 Months, Love

26th June 12'
Tuesday

Celebrated our 18th month. It's amazing how fast time flies. Happy Monthsary, my love. Eighteen magical months of journeying with you. Words alone are insufficient to describe how much you mean to me. Truly you've been the best boyf I've ever had. No one would ever replace you in my heart. You've always been so understanding, caring, loving, supportive in many ways.. I can say no one knows me better than you do. It's like we have this antenna that connects us together. We share so many things in common from likes to dislikes. It's like I've found another me. Who knew someone like you would step into my life when I least expected it. I believe it's all by god's blessing. When I first met you, I never thought someone like you would ever fall for someone like me. It's funny how we started as mere acquaintance to lovers today. Unimaginable but I'm glad it happened. Thanks baby for all the sweet.loving.wonderful memories that you've planted in my life. Always remember no matter what happens, I will always stand by you.

Since boyfie had classes till evening, we decided to meet up for din dins..

I was craving for japan & off we go to Sushi Zanmai, Paradigm mall..
Ebiten Ebikko Maki
 Ebi Fry Peach Avocado Roll
Cranky Salmon Maki
 Sashimi
 Tendon
 With babyboy
He very pandai to pai poe si & I pulak always have the same expression

Baby's bro & his friends joined us for dinner
Baby. Myself. Henry
 Sze Jin, Desmond, Donson
Coincidentally it was Desmond bday. Happy birthday to you.

mmmhmm after satisfying my craving for sushi, it was time for dessert!

Tong Pak Fu!
Definitely worth to try! Oh no wait. It's a MUST try if you're a durian lover..
You'll know what I mean after trying it. You'll only go back for moreee :D
We managed to enjoy 20% off since it was Desmond's bday
There's something for students too :D
We ordered 3 large snow ice to share among ourselves..
#1 The MUST try Tracka Durian Snow Ice. From afar we could already smell the strong scent of durian
#2 D24 Durian Snow Ice
Another durian on the list. I would say this taste slightly sweeter compared to Tracka. I prefer Tracka over this but it's still good :)
 #3 Matcha Snow Ice
Not a bad pick. Very green tea

Love you heaps baby!

Before meeting up my boy, managed to catch up with Amy babe at Pyramid for shopping & dessert..
Tried Zen Q for the first time. At first I had no idea what to pick from the menu. They discontinued several items on the menu..
At last we decided to create our own Zen Q dessert..
Soya ice topped with red beans, Green Tea Q Yuan (Taro balls) & Sweet potato
The soya ice taste pretty much like Snowflakes. Very fine ice that gently melts in your mouth. They gave a generous spread of red bean but it was mishi moshi (a lil wet & clumpy) I'd still prefer Snowflakes's. Green tea Q Yuan were too chewy.
After trying Zen Q, I still prefer Snowflakes! :D
Along with that we ordered Milk tea which was on promo for ONLY RM2
Meet Amy. My dearest & closes class/uni mate.
We work very well as a group & we always stick together for group assignments & presentations. We're inseparable.. haha
It was nice catching up with you babe!

That's pretty much it. I had such a wonderful day! Thanks for everything my love! Appreciate it very much! :D

Awake

Heyooo..

Here I am sitting in front of my lappie blogging. It's 3am. Been lying on my bed tossing. turning. staring at the ceiling for the past 45mins & I still couldn't fall asleep. That's the downside for taking a nap for almost 4 hours this afternoon. So here I am wide awake like an owl. Instead of forcing myself to sleep, decided to jump outtve bed & blog on what i've been up to for the past couple of days..

On wednesday, met up with my babe, Jia Wen who just got back from Kent for hols. We had a great round of catch up at Antipodean, Bangsar while enjoying tea.coffee.cakes.muffins (sorry no pics as I wasn't in a mood to snap pics). Anyways, we just sat there & spend almost 4 hours catching up. It was that much we've missed out each other. Looking forward to another meet up soon babe :)

Boyfie came by on Friday noon & accompanied me to get my eyelashes permed. Had em done at I-brow, The Strand, Kota Damansara. Didn't know that it'll take almost 2 hours. The longest session I've ever tried. They did an extra step by applying the lash serum. However, I did not like my permed lashes. They're not nicely curled upright instead they're messily curled to the side. Not my type of perm & I don't think this will be lasting. I very much prefer the one I did before at De Brow at e@Curve. In future i'll definitely go back to De Brow...
AND Ohh.. Poor baby had to wait for me while he was accompanied by his notes. I know it was quite a wait for you hunnie & I know you were hungry and restless but I appreciate it that you still waited patiently.. he did complain & whine a little after that.. hahaa.. Soon after that we had Ipoh Road Yong Tau Foo, Metro Prima Kepong.. In the evening, we went to town & hopped from one mall to another. From Fahrenheit --> Sg. Wang --> Times Square --> Pavilion. Btw, Thanks for the polo tees, love! Love em'. Thanks for being sucha sweetheart & I had a splendid day with you

The next day, I went over to boyfie's place to spend the day with him. Thanks for listening to me blabbering to you 1st thing I got to your place. You've been sucha good listener & understands me like no one else. We spend time in the kitchen making wraps for his family & watched Mouse Haunt before heading out to my friend's 21st birthday parte. It was my 1st time ever attending an indian birthday gathering/farewell & I enjoyed the food very much. Everything served was savoury & spicy *nyums*. Thanks for having us Priya! Hope you had a blast on your big day! :)

Sunday was dull. Attended church service in the morning. Got home & pig the entire afternoon. Woke for dinner to celebrate belated father's day at Sin Kee Resturant, Brickfields. Typical chinese cuisine. What my parents love best.

That's pretty much it for the past couple of days.. Sorry no pics but will definitely boom my blog with more pics for my upcoming post yah..

Have a great week ahead dearies!
xoxo

Well spent day with my love

18th June 12'
Monday

Finals were officially over since last wednesday! *woots*
Am currently enjoying my sem break for a month long..
Boyfie has been nothing but the best!! It's so cute that he was even more excited that I am for me to finish my finals. Last week immediately after my last paper he brought me to Sunway Pyramid for ice cream to satisfy my craving.
We ended up having Stickhouse's then back to his place for din dins & durian feast after dins.
Next day.... he accompanied me to uni to settle my enrollment for next sem. Went & get haircut & back to my place for dins with some uncles at Restaurant de foodland, Kepong.
Saturday, he woke up as early & joined me for jungle trekking at 730am. It was quite an experience together :)

As for today, we went to Paradigm Mall's GSC to redeem free tickets to catch Mirror Mirror. I heard it was pretty good but I didn't have the time back then to watch it. This was the perfect opportunity to catch it prior to GCS's grand opening. We got there as early as 1030am & redeemed our tics within 5mins. They was no queue at all. I heard the queue was massive over the weekends. I've decided that weekdays would be the best & true enough I was right. Ample of seats & we got one of the best seats. Center of the center in the hall #win :)

We headed over to Subway & we were just in time for their breakfast promo
Breakfast strip for us..

Hit the cinema for Mirror mirror
I'd say it was quite nice.. Pretty hilarious

Soon after our movie ended, we had lunch at Paradise Dynasty..
It kind of reminds me of Dragon-i a lil..
Boyfie's been telling me they serve really yummeh 'Xiao Long Bao' (mini chinese dumplings) & their La Mian is really good..
view taken from where we're seated..

Sliced ginger with vineger to go with siew loong bao

Here's what we had...
Mine - La Mian with sliced pork ( One of their signature La Mien)
It was really good & the portion was pretty huge with generous amount of sliced pork *yums*
Boyfie - La Mian with stewed beef briske
Absolutely delicious. Huge portion with generous amount of well seasoned beef.

The famous 8 legendary Xiao Long Bao
Boyfie asked me to try the szechuan one 1st..
I'd say not everyone would like the taste of it. It has its own unique taste of spiciness..
We finished the Xiao Long Bao first before it cooled down or else it won't taste as good..
Wallop our noodles & yumm yumms.. I was extremely full to the brink :)
Sat on sipping on chinese tea & talking about almost everything with me boy.
The service was good & they make sure your tea is always refilled
Enjoyed the lovely lunch very much! Thanks baby!!

Big Buddha in the middle of the restaurant

Open kitchen concept where we watched how to make & serve La Mian
Boyfie picked out a almost similar top to pair with what I was wearing. How cute :)
Love youu bao! *smoochess*

Boyfie accompanied me to do some grocery shopping at Giant & we headed back to his place for din din. An incredible day with my love! Thanks for everything bao!

Face To Face Beauty Saloon @ The Scott Garden

15th June 12'
Friday

Hair pampering session with sis @ Face To Face Beauty Saloon, The Scott Garden. I bet y'all must be thinking 'face to face'? isn't that the pan mee restaurant? Twas my first impression when I heard of it's name. Anyways, I wouldn't knew the existent of it if it weren't becoz of an online deal on Hulala.com.my. Purchased the deal inclusive of hair treatment + wash & blow for only RM23. That's freaking affordable. Plus, they use L'oreal products. The place wasn't too hard to find. It's situated @ level 3, upper shop lot.

Made my way to Scott Garden around noon & the place was so dead & quite. Most of the shops, pubs & restaurants comes alive at night.

Anyways, first had my hair washed by a male saloon assistant. It was one of the best hair wash/head massage session ever. He was so gentle, careful & gives damn good head massages. Look for Wai if you were to pay the saloon for a visit. Trust me.. You'll be in good hands :) Plus, I loved the shampoo they used. It has methanol which gives your scalp a minty effect & leaves it feeling clean & cooling.
Proceed with hair treatment & steam.
The whole process took about an hour & taa daaa...
Say hello to silky smooth & good smelling hair *sniff*

Here's what it looks like inside.. One eye see all..
Beauty saloon that provides services from Face - Hair - Body - Nails - Makeup
That's Willies Liew by the counter (stylish manager) he was formerly from Cut Above
He took charged of blowing dry my hair

With sis after getting our hair done

I'm pretty satisfied with their service. In turn, I bought 3x hair treatment for future. Can't wait to go back & pamper my hair..

In loving memory of my late granny..

2nd June 12'
Saturday

Exactly one week ago while I was on my out with mumsie to do morning marketing, unexpectedly we received a call from dad around 7.30am saying that granny passed away peacefully in her sleep at that very morning. It took me awhile to digest it that my all time favourite granny was no longer around.
My heart sank and tears of sorrows flow down my cheeks uncontrollably. So many thoughts were running through my head. I kept wondering how is this possible?! My granny has always been very healthy & jovial. There was no signs of illness of whatsoever all these while. All I could think of, the cause might have been due to the effects surgery that she had gone through a week before.
As I've heard from bro who visited granny during her surgery, it was successful but she was very frail and weak after that.
This all comes back to a couple of weeks ago when granny accidentally slip in the bathroom & fractured her thighbone. She had to go through the surgery twice to placed a metal bar inside her thighs to hold the bones together. Poor granny had to go through so much pain. Not once but twice.

At that time, I wished I could pay her a visit in JB but unfortunately I was occupied by assignments & deadline one after another. Who knew that was the last chance for me to see her the last time...
Nevertheless, I was grateful that I managed to pay her a visit during this year's chinese new year.
Those were the last memories I had with her..

My late granny is from my paternal side of the family. She's the one & only granny I'm left with. The one who brought me up since I was a baby & nurture me for 10 years. For a decade loving years I was under her great care. She's the best granny I've ever had. There were so much memories shared. Till today, there are instilled within me...

Memories...
Back in my kinder days, I would always wake up as early as 6inthemorning & go straight to my granny's room where i'll sit on her bed & have her plait my waist-length hair into 2 plaits for class.
It will always be that early cuz soon after she'll leave for her morning exercise (tai kek)

Everyday after school she'll wait for me to arrive home by the porch & great me with a warm smile & asked if i'm hungry. She always prepares the best dishes ever. My all time favourite was char siew with rice (simple but extremely yummy). Granny would slowly peel the char siew into tiny bits, mixed them with rice & feed me :)

When I was a little girl, my parents often travel overseas for days & weeks be it for business trip or holidays. I would be left at home with granny. I'll sleep with granny every night till my parents are back. She would tell me stories after stories till I fall asleep in bed..

During free time or school holidays, granny will accompany me to play masak-masak. She'll be the customer in my restaurant & i'll asked what would she like to eat & served it to her. We even play cards & checkers together. Especially during school holidays, she'll take me to the morning market to shop for groceries & buy me breakfast. We even go shopping too & during my childhood time, leisure mall was my all time favourite.. Those were the times..

Granny thought me so many things in life, she taught me how to cook as I stood by her side in the kitchen every time she cooks dinner. She taught me cantonese & that is why till today I can speak fluent cantonese where my other siblings couldn't. She taught me how to be a better person in life, how to behave & how to respect elders. So much more that I could not count them all with my ten fingers (sup kor sau qi dou sou mm sai)

Dear granny,
You've been the greatest granny I've ever had. I will always remember what you've thought me. You'll be greatly missed & forever remembered with great affection & great appreciation. I love you very much mama!

God has his own reasons for taking her away so sudden. As a christian, i believe she's in a better place :)

We did an obituary ad for granny for The Star & China Press
Pictures credits to my cousie bro..
During the wake service

On our way out for the burial ceremony
& we were glad to have two police outriders to lead us all the way to Cheras Christian Cemetery
Granny must be happy from above :)

This was taken 2 years back in JB when I visited granny during chinese.
Bought her durians cuz she loves eating em'. Even though I look horrible here but granny is smiling and enjoying the durians :)

Taken this year during chinese new year. Yikes. 1st snap no smile cuz she forgot to smile. haha
Next snap. Granny smiling so happily! I will always remember you smiling so happily!
My ever-loving dearest granny

Glad that everything ran smoothly. The wake services & the burial ceremony. I want to thank friends, family & relatives from the bottom of my heart who made it for the wake services. Not forgetting my dear friends for your thoughtful condolences. Only a handful who took the effort to show that you care, it means a lot to me. You know who you are. Appreciate it very much!
